My landscapes are inspired by a combination of real places and my own
impressions. I use mixed media on canvas, fresco on marble dust panel, acrylic on
birch, and watercolor on paper.
I’m fascinated with the space between land and sky — the horizon line that
connects the ethereal to the mundane.
It’s the place I want to live my life: On the cusp of land and air seeing the fullness of
the sky.
Sometimes I add a streak of color, or metallic leaf, to either separate or merge the
land and sky. My hope is that it leads the viewer to find the their own horizon line.
Often just a glimpse of something is enough to feel it.
